Gwent Bat Group

There are over 90 local Bat Groups in the UK – some large and formal – some small and informal but whatever the size those who are involved all have a certain ‘love’ of and respect for bats with an ultimate goal of conserving them, their roosts and their habitats. There are a variety of ways of achieving this. Because not everyone views them with the same fascination there is a need to improve their public image and this can be done through walks and talks and by providing an informal information ‘service’ to those members of the public who look upon bats in the same way as they do the poor old spiders.
